【楽譜】西澤健一：打楽器とピアノのための小ソナタ

「小ソナタ」シリーズの4作目である本作は、2019年、新野将之氏の委嘱で作曲された。第１楽章にはティンパニ、第２楽章にはヴィブラフォン、第３楽章にはシロフォンを配する構成は、ジョリヴェ『打楽器協奏曲』のオマージュとなるような作品を切望していた新野氏のアイデアに依る。加えて、それらに添える楽器も楽章ごとに皮革、金属、木材と材質を揃えた。第４楽章は一転して、スネアドラム一本の行進曲。スネアドラムの作品だけでCDをリリースしたこともある、氏の十八番の楽器で締めくくるという趣向である。（「この作品について」）
